The Drava Treasure area is an enchanting corner of northern Croatia where the landscapes, history, culture and cheerful spirit of three municipalities and one small town create a picturesque mosaic of plains, meadows, groves, meanders and streams that intertwine in the richness of natural beauty. Throughout the area extends a part of the Mura-Drava-Danube Transboundary Biosphere Reserve, declared by UNESCO in 2012. The reserve is also called "Amazon of Europe". The Amazon of Europe consists of a 700 km long green belt in which numerous protected species of animals and birds have found a home. In the vicinity of Donja Dubrava, you will find the area of the ornithological reserve Veliki Pažut, an almost untouched area in whose wilderness a human foot rarely sets foot today. An educational forest trail "Vrata Pažuta" or "Pažut Gates" in Donja Dubrava, 1,750 meters long, is dedicated to the original, intact nature, and it is intended for pedestrians and cyclists. Here, each village has its own story, each intersection is adorned with a "pil" or a religious crossroad monument, a gift that keeps travelers safe and directs them to the right path. Each season brings its own magic – flower meadows in spring, summer joys on the lake and the old course of the Drava River, golden fields of wheat, corn and sunflowers, brightly colored autumn and a peaceful winter idyll. The Drava Treasure is a natural paradise, where every adventure turns into a unique experience in harmony with nature.
