In Donja Dubrava, hidden deep in a protected flood forest, lies the forest educational trail “Pažut Gates”, offering visitors a unique opportunity to discover the natural beauty of the area. This trail, created for pedestrians and cyclists, provides an adventurous experience and an opportunity to learn about the indigenous river landscape.

Opened in 2018, the educational trail is 1,750 meters long and starts under the Dubrava Bridge, welcoming visitors with an informative panel that reveals the technical details of the trail and directions. Follow the path through the forest along the left bank of the Drava River towards the Island of Love, where you will come across five information boards. Each of them reveals the secrets of the reserve Veliki Pažut, emphasizing its importance, diverse flora and fauna and historical crafts on the Drava.

The trail is not only educational; four canopies with benches, garbage cans and small insect hotels are installed on it so that visitors can enjoy rest and recreation in the peaceful atmosphere of nature. Through this project, the Environmental Protection Association “Senjar” has enabled a combination of recreation and education about the charms of this area.
